I returned to college seven years ago to prepare for a career change after 20-plus years of raising children and working as an independent contractor in the court reporting business. I graduaes Summa Cum Laude from Tidewater Community College in 2002, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English (Professional Writing), with a minor in Marketing, from Old Dominion University in 2005. I will complete my Master's degree in December 2007. My education, combined with over 18 years of working with words as a court reporter, enables me to contribute positively to any company where the written word is important.
