Accomplish root cause analysis for avionics and electrical system/component problems that may cause aircraft failure, delays, and cancellations, substantial expenditures in labor or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations and initiates the action required to remedy any undesirable condition detected. Develop best practices and lean concepts with intent to improve reliability and increase productions and repair margins. Operate Industrial Engineering, Quality Assurance, Repair Shop management and Supply Chain functions to review, develop and implement new technical documentation to ensure full compliance of Retrofits, Repairs, Modifications, Maintenance and Testing in accordance with FAA Airworthiness Directives and Regulations. Provide technical support to Account Managers to ensure efficient resolution of technical issues and customer satisfaction. Lead technical investigation team to improve MTBUR and cost effective. Products airworthiness, reliability analysis, failure trends, technical investigations. Support QA department with review of new documents to provide Engineering disposition and recommendations for Retrofits, Repairs, Modifications and Testing in according with FAA Airworthiness Directives and regulations. Verification Retrofit programs for Avionics computers and devises in accordance with SB/SIL/TI and Customers EO/PO/PUB. Preparation of various reports / presentations, forecasts, benchmarking analysis. Activities in processes, methods, and tools improvements by utilizing lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and 6S principles. Automatic Test Equipment – development, specification procurement, calibration and maintenance. Foster a training environment to related divisions to increase quality and repair efficiency. Technical training with emphasis on aircraft computers level functionality (AIRBUS, A300 family, Boeing, CRJ family). Validation operational readiness for new capabilities and retrofit programs while adhering to technical and compliance documentation. Evaluates test equipment, labor and technical support requirements. Performing BITE and PFR decoding by using ST3, E-troubleshooting and UT4 software’s applications to analyze failure of the unit on the system level of the aircraft.
