This letter and the accompanying resume are presented as an introduction to my experience in the management of manufacturing operations and in functions supporting manufacturing operations.
I have many years of experience and a successful work history in production management, in project management, in facilities and engineering management and in equipment and facilities maintenance. I have simultaneously managed several departments and have successfully executed many productivity improvements and facilities upgrades.
Through this experience, I have become very knowledgeable in the areas of quality and productivity improvement, production scheduling, facilities and equipment maintenance, project management, sales and operations planning, budgeting for operations and capital projects and for managing and training people. As a member of the management team, I have been involved with strategic planning, budgeting and P&L review for major projects and for business planning.
I am seeking a position in manufacturing/operations management or Facilities Management, where I can use my acquired skills and talents to develop people and programs for the purpose of improving quality, productivity, efficiency and safety, and for reducing operating costs while maintaining an educated and motivated work force. I am confident that my background and training will provide the skill set necessary to meet the challenges of this position within your organization.
I would appreciate your time in reviewing my enclosed resume and would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how my experience and skills might be used to fulfill your needs.
Sincerely,
William Rettig
