Computer Network Skills * Ability to interface with customers for computer system problem resolution, creating and troubleshooting user accounts and profiles along with backup and restoration operation. * Responsible for installation, configuration, break-fix, and support of desktop technologies such as Windows 2000, XP Professional, Vista, and Redhat Linux. * Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving technical issues related to business applications as well as other productivity applications. * Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving technical issues related to desktop application software with emphasis on MS-Office, Internet Explorer, PGP, Anti-Virus, and E-Mail software, Lotus Notes, Showcase Strategy, Vista Pro, Info Genesis, Acres System, Machine Accounting, MAS-90. * Monitor support requests and responds quickly to requests for assistance. * Identify recurring problems, works with team to identify the root cause then plans and executes the necessary steps to eliminate possibility of re-occurrences. * Configure new workstations and telecommunications for employees and provide user orientation. * Manage server backups, including tape rotations. * Provide troubleshooting support for Laptops, PDAs, Printers, and other hardware. * Support IT staff with new and ongoing projects.
