Description
Hello, My name is Sal Ortiz, and I am seeking a Creative Executive position in Development, Production or Programming. I graduated from the UCLA Television, Film and New Media program, in the Development & Producers track. My classes at UCLA were primarily Development and Producing related. Because of my good grades I received several John Thomas Lenox Scholarships for Producer students. After graduation I was able to use my new skills. I worked as a Technical-Production Manager in an Animation Production Studio. I oversaw the technical aspects of the productions. As a creator and writer, I have pitched drama TV series to Showtime and a sitcom to Norm Lear’s production company, Act III. I was real close to having them sold. I can tell you the details when we meet. With my creative storytelling talent, I have a few more stories that I’m developing that major networks are interested in. Attached you'll see my resume which also shows my experience behind the camera as well as in front of the camera. I belong to a few industry organizations (Academy of Television Arts & Sciences etc) and I have contacts at the major studios and networks. I also know the technical side of television from being a Broadcast Engineer and Technical Manager. I know computers exceptionally well, as I used to be a computer specialist in the Army. That being said, with my well rounded knowledge and enthusiasm, I feel that I would be a great overall candidate for a position overseeing Development, Production or Programming at your company and be a good person to have on board. I’m an Army veteran and live nearby in Burbank. Please feel free to contact me anytime at (818) 749-7878. I look forward to your email or call. Thank you for your time,
