RssEarly/Mid Level Statistical Analyst, San Francisco

I have 6 years of experience in clinical trials and healthcare research with the past 4.5 of those in a program management position. I currently manage a bipolar and depression research program at the VA in Palo Alto and Stanford University Medical Center. Working in this program has been a valuable experience where I've had the opportunity to develop many new skills (grant writing, scientific writing in general, management, regulatory management in clinical trials, etc). However, statistics is my passion and I am now aiming to focus my career more on the statistical aspects of clinical research. In my current role, I have had the opportunity to work on clinical trials, grants, and papers as the sole biostatistics and data management representative in our program. This allowed me to be intimately involved in all aspects of data managements and biostatistics for a broad range of clinical trials from preparing statistical sections of grants and protocols (including sample size calculations, randomization specifications, and analysis plans), data quality assurance throughout open study enrollment, to study close out and data analysis, reporting, and publication in peer-reviewed journals. I would absolutely love the opportunity to work with other statisticians, statistical programmers, and analysts in a collaborative environment! I am competent working independently, but enjoy working collaboratively with other researchers who are passionate about science and who believe that standardization, consistency, and precision in research should be the norm and are actively working to make those standards accessible to clinical researchers. Please let me know if I can provide further information about myself, my goals, or how I could be of benefit to a potential employer. I would be thrilled for the opportunity to work in a collaborative group that is engaged in clinical trials or health research. I am not interested in advertising, marketing, or risk assessment.
