Highlights:
After reviewing our design and market position relative to our main competitor with a patent attorney, it became clear that our best chance of competing was to incorporate the competitor’s design (functional aspects) into our own package to avoid trade dress infringement. A working prototype was built using our existing body, with custom parts that verified the concept that a new body could function with the competitor’s internal components, thereby increasing serviceability and market acceptance. Increased Cycle Life for Diaphragm Valve Modified valve piston after tolerance analysis and lab measurement testing to limit stroke. Increased spring life from 300,000 cycles to 1 million cycles. Managed Large Multi-Coupling Installation Project for Injection Molding machines Managed project to install multi-coupling systems on 17 molds running in 6 Milacron injection molding machines. Installation achieved working only on weekends and summer shut down. Optimized Centerless Grinder Operation Implemented “on the fly” SPC control on a centerless grinder (grinding bearing needles) using a statistical controller to decrease variability and maximize wheel usage.Companies I like:
