After more than ten years as a teacher and department chair in the Baltimore area, I have decided to come home to Syracuse. The attached resume details my extensive experience and training. I possess more than a decade of progressive experience in the educational leadership field. My professional history includes positions such as Language Arts and Reading instruction and Language Arts Department Chair at Anne Arundel County Public Schools, as well as Interdisciplinary Team Leader. Most recently, my responsibilities leading an interdisciplinary team and teaching 6, 7, 8th Grade Language Arts, SOAR and PAR reading interventions match the qualifications you are seeking. Last year I composed content-specific and school-wide SLO’s, as our school was piloting the initiative. I assisted in the successful elimination of achievement gaps within challenging, diverse student populations. My principal counted on me to train other teachers to differentiate instruction. I feel confident that I could transfer these skills to your school.
