Description
Summary: I began 'on the job' with a contract to teach relapse prevention with long-term, chronically homeless participants who inadvertently trained me to be helpful to their recovery process. Eventually I enrolled and graduated a counseling course at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions and started to help mental health and drug/alcohol participants learn to gain control of their lives. I was promoted to manager 4 years later and supervised eight counselor/therapists and two peer specialists.
