Senior Art Director, Photographer- 10 years experience

As a photographer and designer with 9 years of professional experience, I am very interested in the opportunity your company is offering. I have been given the chance to work in many veins of the arts and different parts of the world from East Asia to the Middle East. I believe that my skills and passion for the arts makes me a prime candidate for the position and I feel that I will make an immediate contribution to your company. In Kuwait I worked for Bazaar Magazine as a columnist, photographer, and art director for two years covering topics from food to war. I was given the opportunity to hit the road and travel to cover topics in India, Lebanon, Jordan, and East Africa. This experience not only gave me the chance to see other cultures and the way they live, dress, and eat but to get to know them and be a part of their lives for extended periods of time. After years of traveling it is interesting as some experiences so distant geographically come full circle and relate to each other in some of the most dynamic of ways. Upon my return to America I took my experiences abroad and applied them to my everyday life and to my work. I would have to say that my work since my return three years ago has changed dramatically as it is more precise and thoughtful. I am skilled in many different ways for any specific job or project. Creativity is my drive and I love collaborating and building ideas to fruition. I work well with people whether face to face or over the phone. My application skillset is perfect for this job as I am proficient in Photoshop, Aperture, Lightroom, Exposure, and completely MAC savvy! Oh, and did I say I love Typography?!
