I understand the challenges involved in balancing inventory control, preventive maintenance, the coordination and training of manpower, logistics, unsurpassed customer service, and profitability. As an effective manager, I take hands on proactive approach, with all things focusing on the customer. Incorporating effective employee training with the products and services provided enables an understanding of why things are done, and the impact that they can make on the bottom line. Knowing what the employee’s desired career path is, and designing a measurable plan to achieve it, yields better service, buy-in, and retention. Establishing accountable, preventive maintenance measures insures that the products are ready for delivery, and will preform effectively without downtime. Great customer service is achieved by providing the correct product to do the job, by having the knowledge and skills to offer solutions, by not over promising services, and by overcoming conflict in a positive manner. Being profitable is a direct correlation to customer and employee satisfaction. You must know your company, your competition, and your customer in order to communicate the value added service that you can offer. With every location I have managed, as customer satisfaction increased, profitability improved as well. As a project manager, I have experience in all aspects of construction endeavors: material, equipment, and manpower coordinator, acting as a customer liaison, a safety and compliance officer, master carpenter, and sustainability consultant.
