• Over 25 years of relevant controller experience, including month-end close; oversight of AR,AP, PR, NP, fixed assets and tax reporting; HR, IT and benefits administration oversight; • Over 20 years of controller experience in commercial construction; • Over 25 years of experience reporting to senior management and key contact point for all relevant external parties, including external auditors and CPAs. • Broad knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance; • Extensive experience in the review and implementation of internal control procedures throughout the financial and operational structures of the organization; • Extensive experience in cash flow analysis and forecasting, budgeting, banking and credit, and treasury; • Extensive experience with risk management and loss prevention; • Proven leadership skills at the highest organizational levels to initiate and implement growth strategies and initiatives; • Excellent communication skills—verbal and written—in English and Spanish; • Extensive experience supervising a professional and clerical staff; • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Texas at Austin; • High technical proficiency in the most widely used software applications, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access; 10+ years experience in Timberline Accounting; ERP applications such as MS Navision; QuickBooks Pro, Retail Pro and various other business applications; • CPA candidate able to obtain certification within a year of hire.
