From 1982 to 1991, I served the United Methodist Church as an Organizational Growth Consultant. As the senior Naval Staff Officer for the 14th Marines, I was responsible for planning, budgeting and implementation of the customer service for five battalions. The 14th Marines are the largest regiment in the Marine Corps. As the Commanding Officer of the 4th Marine Expeditionary Force (Rel) 713, I was responsible for leading 5 staff teams that provided customer service to 1,500 Marines on Okinawa.
