Developed and implemented new modeling techniques for optical design of soft contact and intra-ocular lenses. Created new characterization methods for silicon hydrogels in both wet and dry states. Helped educate B&L’s Technical staff in several aspects of optical design as well as non-destructive testing. Created new design approaches for contact lens and Intra-Ocular Lenses, based on opto-mechanical stability and hybrid optics, as well as a new Visual Quality Metric for human vision.
