Description
As a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering graduate from Montana State University, I developed skills in 3D CAD, finite element analysis, manufacturing, and data acquisition. My thesis work was focused on the full life cycle development of a biomechanical testing apparatus. In addition to my thesis work I led several other projects, using MS Project as a management tool, from concept to delivery allowing me to develop project management skills. I have 4 years of experience using SolidWorks and Pro-E (CREO) to design assemblies such as a wind tunnel, a CubeSat Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Shield. As a graduate student I developed an FEA model for a nonlinear material system to study the effects of material wear in a knee. Along with all of this I have developed skills in material and component selection, designing for manufacturability, and interfacing mechanical structure to electrical hardware.
