Seasoned Buyer

Purchasing/Scheduling has been a catalyst for my career for many years. I enjoy this kind of work and find it more to be a part of who, I am, and not just a job. I like to oversee operations and how each part interacts and affects each level. I also create the plans and instructions and enhancing inventory levels to coincide with production requirements and deadlines. There are many aspects to consider in purchasing, but there are two major concerns that weigh above all else, they are, service to the customer and the bottom line. In purchasing, the purchasing agent affects all levels of operations from receiving to shipping, quality control to new product development and all operations in-between. It is up to me, to ensure all departments are on the same page, to achieve one crucial goal, and that is to satisfy the needs of all customers, while maintaining a healthy bottom line for the company to ensure viability in these economic hard times.
