Description
I have recently moved to Longmont Colorado from the Austin Texas area. I am currently seeking a position within an Engineering group as a Hardware/Firmware Engineer. During my career as a Hardware Design Engineer, I have been assigned a variety of projects ranging from designing power supplies to microcontroller IO products, based on Motorola’s microprocessors. In those positions, I was responsible for the following duties: • Creating the schematic design using Mentor Graphics. • Developing the design rules for board lay-out. • Setting up the parts and part numbers. • Creating the Bill of materials. • Modifying direction statements, as needed. • Assisting in the development of hardware manuals. • Developing prototype test plans. • Assisting in product verification for compliance of CE, CSA, ATEX, and Factory Mutual’s certification for placement in Class I Div. II areas. • Developing all necessary documentation required to cover all phases of the design cycle which include Concept, Proto-type, Pilot, and release to Production. During my career as a Software Engineer, I have supported legacy products using C++. I have supported the migration to new releases of in house utilities using VS MFC and VS C#. I have created all of the necessary documentation to cover all phases of the software design cycle such as software requirement specification, unit test cases, integration test cases, and manufacturing interface documentation. I have worked closely with the System test group to fine tune test cases to make my code more robust.
