Lamine Hamdad is a Web Designer/Developer and Database Systems Engineer. With more than 10 years of experience he brings expertise in today’s latest technologies. Through work with the Smithsonian Institute, as an independent consultant for local entrepreneurs, and formal education, Mr. Hamdad has demonstrated strong capacity for marketing businesses, and providing tools which improve client relationships and businesses’ responsiveness to customer needs. Additionally, he is a strong project manager with demonstrated skills in mentoring and training in a variety of subjects. WEB & INFORMATION SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT Lamine Hamdad has contracted his services for non-profit organizations and the private sector on front-end development, handling clientele, establishing projects’ definition, designing websites’ wireframes, layouts, using codes that are 508 compliant, functionality/usability, and managing deadlines and budgets. He is also involved in the development/programming phase using HTML5, CSS3, XML, Responsive Design for portable devices, CMS (Content Management Systems) under WordPress & Textpattern, and PHP/MySQL for database systems. As well as covering the life cycle of websites and databases providing maintenance, upgrades, and SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Pairing his managerial and programming skills to Online Networking Strategies, he brings to businesses the exposure needed to increase opportunities. Volunteering at MOCA DC art gallery as its Artistic and Marketing Director he increased memberships by ten percent through automating the subscription process via the website he designed, and by coupling social marketing, advertising and networking activities for the gallery through web-based sites such as Facebook. As the Information Systems Manager at the Arab American Institute, Washington DC, Mr. Hamdad was in charge of the AAI Database System using Heidi MySQL/MS ACCESS and queries to update, maintain and run reports on constituent information such as donations, contact information, and other various listings. He improved the online search forms by analyzing AAI’s reports and users’ needs, adding more options through the use of key features of PHP and MySQL. He wrote a library of SQL queries to decrease the time response to the daily demands. With the use of Visio and MS Word he also elaborated all user and technical support manuals outlining the database’s proper protocols of use and how to protect its integrity. PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT While consulting as the International Development Programs Coordinator and IS Solutions with the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) in Washington, DC, he developed the protocols of use of the Chamber’s new Content Management System (CMS) website, designed user and technical documentation, updated their online Memberships Database, and supervised the Arabic and French translations and publication of all online PDF documents and related material to his assigned project. He also created a Decision Support System under MS Excel to assist the comparison and selection process of hotel and transportation bids. With great negotiation skills that he honed while studying Trading Techniques at the National Algerian Chamber of Commerce (CACI) and the Chamber of Commerce of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Nancy, France. Skills that turned out to be very efficient to NUSACC’s project. He solicited participant interest from more than a hundred individuals and companies across Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Morocco. He negotiated the hotel deals for hosting, conferences, meals, training facilities, and galas and managed the project’s budget. TRANSLATION SERVICES Fluent in three languages, Mr. Hamdad provides translation services for live interviews and bi-lingual publications. He has proofread the Smithsonian’s department Monitoring and Assessing Biodiversity program’s publication “Gamba, Gabon: Biodiversity of an equatorial African rainforest." During the earlier stages of the Syrian crisis in 2011, he provided real-time interpretation between an interviewer and interviewee from NPR’s studios their reporter on the phone and translated simultaneously in French, Arabic, and English.
