Accounting with Access Database

Dear Sir or Madam: I am seeking a position in accounting with possible Access database custom programming responsibilities. If you have any positions where I could be useful, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my qualifications. I have been involved in manufacturing accounting for fourteen years and another ten years in railroad accounting. My background also offers advanced computer skills in MS Access database custom building and spreadsheet applications. From February 1999 through March 2013, I have been employed as Staff Accountant in Raleigh and my responsibilities include reconciliation of operating cash accounts, daily cash-in-bank reporting, review and write-up of adjusting GL journal entries, creation of accruals, prepaid expense management and reporting of complete month-end financials. Company never had a monthly financials prior to my efforts. I also write MS Access database applications for the departments for their use, maintain and troubleshoot PC problems, handle all PC purchases, create special system queries and all other reporting aspects of computerized accounting functions. I also restored profitability to two departments by restructuring and revising the billing methods. Company website “www.builderproducts.com” was created by me. In my previous employment I was extensively involved with budgetary work. Besides my employment with Builder Products, Inc., I have also started my own part time custom database programming service for local businesses. I do my own advertising, programming in Access database, delivery, installation and training. Name of my operation is “Office Aid Services” and I am delighted with the success I am experiencing.
