Major Responsibilities

Supervise, manage, train, and cordinate activities of pharmacy support personnel. Check pharmacy technicians work. Review, interpet, process prescriptions, clarifing discrepancies of physicians' orders; provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, contraindications, dosage, and proper useage and medication storage. Imput and retrive patient profiles. Communicate drug information to patients, customers and healthcare professionals. Preform pharmacokinetics, renal dosing and formulary compliance. Prepare IV Infusions, Chemotherpy and compound TPNs. Checked cartfills and crash carts. Filled AcuDose and Pyxis MedStation. Maintain records (ie. pharmacy files, inventories, charge system files, narcotics and control substances). Order and purchase inventory, control substaces, pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Handle multiple priorities in a fast pace enviroment with frequent interruptions and mamaged stress approproately. Process prescriptions through 3rd party processor. Returned expired meds and unwanted drugs. Operate cash register. Respond to all disgruntled customers and resolve complaint. Open and closed pharmacy.
