Director of Warehousing and Distribution

I am an effective leader with over 20 years as an Operations Manager in warehousing and distribution and logistics. I grew my operation from a closed network of company and franchise locations of 52 sites to over 245 sites operating out of the same warehousing space. I developed an in-house systems approach that allowed me to triple my turns and minimize shrink. I expanded the number of tractor trailers in my organization by a factor of 3, resulting in more than 2.4 million miles driven annually; also managed a team of negotiated contract carriers. As growth became an issue, I moved my entire operations from three buildings to one, without interruption in service to my customers, all below budget. I managed trucking, warehousing, shipping, receiving, inventory control, accounting, invoicing, customer support, purchasing, human resources, budgets and P&L’s for my operations that reported directly to SVP’s and C-level management. I was a member of cross functional teams that helped my billion dollar company grow exponentially.
