Adult Literacy Instructor

I have a very diverse background! In 1996 I became a volunteer firefighter, which sparked a passion for helping others. I pursued a career in emergency services, and have some very exciting experience as a firefighter, paramedic, and flight paramedic. I am very proud to say that I have made the difference between life and death for others countless times. In 2005, my focus changed from working in the field to training and education. As I completed my BA, I found that my passion for helping others sparked my desire to pursue a career in education. I have seven years experience designing and teaching courses for a community college- online and face-to-face; credit and continuing education. In 2011, I designed a blended paramedic training program for Southeastern Community College, and it was successfully launched in January of 2012. I complete a Master’s degree in May of 2013. My graduate studies focus on instructional design, assessment, teaching & learning, and teaching at a distance. I believe that my unique set of skills and experience will be valuable to your high quality staff.
