I am interested in applying for an Associate Clinical Social Worker position in one of your psychiatry/behavioral health clinics or outpatient/school facilities/hospitals. I recently completed a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a dual Pupil Personnel Service Credential from San Diego State University. In addition, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a concentration in Counseling from California State University San Marcos. I have spent the last five years working with families, children and individuals to improve behavior and family systems, reduce symptoms of severe and persistent mental illness, and encourage personal and social growth. I have worked within a variety of settings with diverse individuals, providing me with numerous and valuable experiences. My experience has given me the ability to independently conduct assessments and provide help to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, and educational backgrounds. My ability to quickly build rapport with a client allows me to complete a detailed and comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment in an efficient manner, which enables me to form brief and effective client plans to reduce client symptoms. Interventions are customized for each client to bring about the most effective results in the shortest amount of time, with lasting symptom reduction and improvement in daily functioning. My experiences using a wide range of EBP modalities such as CBT, EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT, Exposure Therapy, Solution Focused, and MI have been effective in reducing the symptoms, increasing the daily functioning, and improving the overall wellbeing of my clients. My work and school experience demonstrate the skills to create social service programs and lead the implementation of said program to fruition. In addition to these skills, my tendency to think quickly outside of the box allows me to meet unique client needs. While my resume and credentials attest to my professional qualifications, I have had many additional personal life experiences that support my knowledge and sensitivity.
