I've been working with computers since around 1980. I went from learning everything about my first TRS-80 computer, using it to complete school assignments and for hobby endeavors such as writing a disassembler. I took many computer programming classes while earning my Associates degree in Applied Science in the Laser Electro-Optics field which ultimately helped me attain my BS in Computer Science. While attending college, I worked for the VAX Administrator at the time who was also my professor in some classes who eventually became Provost at Rowan University. I consider this my first programming job -- I editied and compiled a system utility set and created a menuing system for it in C and DCL on the VAX. After graduating I became a Computer Operator for Paychecks Inc., where I used my programming skills and knowledge of Unix to help in the Sales Dept's use of their Oracle database as well as my primary job function which was basically site administrator, first level of support, and all daily computer operations. I went from there to working temp at various locations on computer-related jobs. While working temp I was able to find opportunities to apply my programming and computer knowledge to improve daily activities by writing shell scripts in HP-UX. I've been working at my current job since 1997 as a programmer analyst. During my tenure at my current location I've attained Secret Clearance with the DoD, and I've earned excellence awards for helping to meet certain goals. I've also been evaulated as a self-starter, a good worker with a high turnaround rate for problem resolution, and for having customer-oriented center.
