Meeting the Parent Company, Federal Industry’s, request that this application be stand-alone in case the Railway operation was sold and finding no package product to meet the user needs, I directed an in-house custom designed, developed, programmed, tested and implemented personal computer application which was interfaced to the mini-main frame financial application Business Process Review/Improvement Expert, over 30 years experience As Corporate Controller, White Pass and Yukon Corporation Limited; I took on the responsibility of directing the move of the Company’s computer Processing and Informational Systems Department from Vancouver to Whitehorse. Other relevant expertise? Extensive experience in environmental hydrocarbon contamination clean-up projects A Few Key Accomplishments: At the end of June, 2007 I took on the position of Chief Financial Officer of a group of three private junior mining companies in Kelowna, B.C. The management of these companies had been struggling since the end of 2005 to move these companies forward to public trading on the TSX-V. The books and records of these companies were a mess, no audits had been completed and all government filing were in arrears. By December, 2007 I had all the books and records and government filings up to date. We had decided to move one of the companies forward to trading by way of a CPC, so by May of 2008 I had all of the audits and TSX-V filings completed and the company was listed on the TSX-V May 21, 2008. I had the other two companies ready to move forward to public trading by way of an IPO by the summer of 2008 with all the audits up to date and approval of the TSX-V and the B.C. Security Commission on one to move forward to public trading and the other following close behind. We lost the sponsoring broker to move forward by August and September 2008 because they could see the great crash of the economy coming by that time and knew it would be impossible to find investors for the IPO to move forward to public trading. As Chief Executive Officer of Chief Isaac Incorporation I negotiated and finalized the purchase of the bulk/package petroleum products distribution and LTL general freight operations from Mackenzie Petroleum Ltd. and Kluane Freight Lines Ltd. Also after directing the cleanup of the books, records and job costing of Hahn Construction Ltd on the old Accpac DOS financial software application, I directed the conversion of this company’s financial data over to Accpac windows applications on a central computer sever. Once the conversion was completed I directed the opening of a new branch in Whitehorse online to the new central computer server of this construction company, this greatly increasing the market potential of this company. As Vice-President / General Manager, North 60 Petro Ltd.; I decreased the number of employees required to operate this business by 15 in the period June 1995 to May 2001 even though the number of transactions of the business more than doubled in this time period. The number of employees was reduced by reorganizing and combining job functions while at the same time perfecting the computer applications. The numbers of transactions were more than doubled in this period to maintain the Company’s market share as I moved the Company’s volume by class of trade from the declining mining class of trade to the lower volume drops of the home heading, commercial, industry and retail service station classes of trade. In December 1997 to ensure the Company’s market share I negotiated the change of the Company’s brand from Chevron to Shell, this gave the Company a better image and upgrade at the retail pumps, reduced product supply price and control once again of the Whitehorse Airports by becoming the Shell Brand Dealer on this Airport. In the same year I ensured for the Company the transportation profit of Imperial Oil Limited products into the Yukon for a contract period of 4 years with escalation term to ensure that all Company increased costs were passed on to Imperial Oil Limited in the form of increased transportation rate. As Senior Vice-President Finance and Administration, White Pass and Yukon Corporation Limited and also carried over to my position with North 60 Petro Ltd, I was responsible for the Company’s hardware configuration (both mini-main frame and personal computers) and software applications. I directed the move of the Company’s mini-main frame configuration from the I.B.M./34 to the I.B.M./38 and finally to the I.B.M. AS/400. I moved the Company’s personal computer environment from the stand-alone application of the mid to late 1980’s to a P.C. networked environment and finally to a fully integrated networked mini-main frame and P.C. environment.
