Wife * We converted mainframe systems into the Internet Access System using MicroFocus COBOL to replace the mainframe. * Used Rational Design system to convert and debug changed programs. * This assignment was on an IBM ZOS operating system. * Unpacked mainframe files into PC readable files delimited. and I ran our own business selling Plush Puppy products at AKC Dog Shows. * We learned INTUIT Point of Sale system and we processed our own inventory. We created Purchase Order (POs) and invoices for billing clients. * We used Quickbooks for our accounting and payroll systems. I maintained the America First Credit Union On-line systems. * I updated several COBOL programs which were updated. I enhanced the processing of these programs. * I wrote several programs which extracted stop payments records and created a delimited file for downloading into an Oracle data base. I designed develop and implemented a conversion process that involved 20-30 COBOL programs. Some of these programs were IDMS ADO screens. * Converted key populations (~39,000 employees) from legacy PeopleSoft 3.2 and Acme payroll systems to Albertsons AHRIS payroll system. I had to change the output formats and route the changed files to new Payroll System. These were COBOL programs. * Created PC readable file from the mainframe VSAM files. This involved converting packed fields into PC formatted files. * Developed/ran audit queries for validation of data conversions from DB2 to Oracle databases. * Supported the CICS/VSAM and ADSO/IDMS payroll screens for processing of rate schedules garnishments benefit updates W2s and driver mileage. These CICS/VSAM screens were COBOL programs * Monitored and updated system tables for store records when new stores are opened in order for the stores to be recognized by payroll. * Created SQL scripts to go up against the Oracle PEOPLESOFT applications. Supports full package for receipt of Time and Attendance data from stores distribution centers/warehouses and offices. Rebuilt system to receive data reformat it per specifications and transmitted it to multiple payroll systems (AHRIS PeopleSoft ADSI EIS Acme EIS). * Supports litigation requests involving time data. The project included work in COBOL IMS DC/DB CICS PLI and BAL. * Controlled the IMS DC portion of the Y2K project containing 40 on-line HYPERSTATION scripts and 110 individual programs. * Convert SQL scripts for the year 2000 changes. * Ran several DYL280 extracts for determining which programs needed to be changed for the year 2000 compliance. * Created the tools and methods necessary to successfully test Y2K programs within the target amount of time allotted. * Supported all of the converted applications for Cap Gemini in the various Y2K projects completed by the company for American Stores. Selected as the representative to represent Cap Gemini at the end of the project to support the warranty on the changes that were implemented by Cap Gemini. Led the Y2K project for 3 key systems and met target deadlines to ensure timely compliance. * Led various teams on Y2K projects. Led teams ranging in size from 5 to 7 team members for these implementations. Key tasks for these implementations were updating the databases and file formats to transition from the 2 digit year to the 4 digit year. I converted several IMS DB extracts from IMS into DB2 using SQL extracts and updates. * Used Micro Focus COBOL to update source modules and testing on our PCs before moving back into the production environment. Mastered the use of JCL SORT and control cards to reformat data in the batch processing. * Restructured systems for easier screen processing in CICS and IMS DC. * Converted several IEBGENERs to DYL280 extracts and be able to get counts of records instead of END OF DATA messages. * Converted mainframe DOS systems to OS systems.
