HSE Specialist - 2 years Ineternational Paper/Terex Cranes Production Supervisor - 8 years Georgia Pacific Chemicals
During the last nineteen years, I began my career twice as a laborer rapidly advancing through the ranks expanding my role for a lateral move into an EH&S position at two separate facilities. I have extensive understanding of Industrial (ductile iron) and Chemical Manufacturing (Georgia Pacific). Chosen by my supervisor to complete a degree program attributable to long-term value creation, scheduling conflicts forced me to change schools and majors from Chemistry to Occupational Safety & Health aligning the focus of EH&S coupled with the vision of Georgia Pacific Chemicals and Koch Industries. I am passionate about safety using the best possible techniques to ensure basic organizational guidelines solve problems in the most sustainable way. However, I thought this dream died when financial constraints closed the facility in November 2011. I served as EHS Representative for International Paper for 2013. Currently, my role is HSE Specialist for Terex USA – North America Cranes in Waverly, IA. I have applicable experience in both personnel management and environmental health and safety covering heavy industrial, assembly, and chemical manufacturing constant with knowledge in the areas of HMMS, PSM, OSHA VPP, MOC, PSSR, JHA, SWPPP, SPCC, along with Toyota Production System: Three Gen (Gemba, Genbutsu, Genjitsu) Principle, Muda and the 7 wastes, Q,C,S,D,M, Kaizan, P&L through departmental budgeting, etc. I am ready to take ownership regarding General Manager/Plant Manager position by: • Mitigating risk by coaching an internally driven, proactive safety culture, • Utilizing production benchmarks to striving toward a World-Class Organization, • Implementing best-in-class metrics for Operational Sustainability • Envisaging a Zero Harm model encompassing all functioning aspects of EHS, IH, Risk Management, Security and Best Practice sharing I envision a cyclic productive model. Corporate vision and management creates a safe environment key to encouraging safe workers. Safe employees build morale and profitability reducing accidents and waste, in turn, attracting a higher quality of leadership and a more engaged workforce. I eagerly await beginning my commitment to serve our company. Respectfully, Clinton L. Payne
