33 years in the insurance claim industry. I have never won any awards, but I am proud of the fact that after this much time, I still enjoy the claims adjusting process. Their is a great deal of satisfaction in this profession. I truly love helping people who are distressed over having accidentally injured someone or; having accidentally damaged someone's property or; suffered a loss at the hands of mother nature.

Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle covered claims brought by or on behalf of Insureds and/or third parties.
Analyze and interpret policy terms, conditions, endorsements, and exclusions to determine how coverage for defense and/or indemnification may apply. Secure a legal coverage opinion should the situation merit.
Assess liability between the parties and evaluate the nature and extent of the damages applying any attributable negligence to the parties.
Negotiate a fair and reasonable settlement of all covered claims based upon your investiation and evaluation.
Protect the insured and any and all other indemnified parties by taking the appropriate release and by crafting the appropriate settlement agreement.
Commuincate the progress of the claim to the interested parties including the broker and the account executive.
Work closely with the underwriter and the account manage to ensure that all parties are made aware of significant developments in the claim.
Take part in meetings with underwriters, loss control representatives, sales and marketing.
Take active part in any roundtable discussions regarding pending claims in the office.
Arrange, prepare, and take part in any claim review sessions requested by underwriter, broker and/or insured.
