RssA "Seasoned" Restaurant General Manager with experience in the country's most well-known restaurant companies. Excellent communication skills, with both formal and practical education in the hospitality industry.

I have most recently served as General Manager at Turner Fisheries at The Westin Copley Place Hotel--but am interested in returning to “freestanding restaurants” where guest service is a top priority along with “growing” the business forward. With my work experience that includes fifteen solid years of employment with Lawry's Restaurants, Inc, as well as experience here in Boston for more than two years, I would indeed welcome the opportunity to explore career opportunities at an operation such as yours. My resume is attached with many successes in my various positions--most notably my ability to "raise the bar" in terms of guest service, financial performance that directly affects the restaurant's "bottom line," and maintaining a culture of "esprit de corps" among my co-workers--from the dishwashers and "Heart of the House" employees, to the Front of House team, to the managers and company personnel that I interact with daily on a professional level. From my experience at Smith and Wollensky, I have become particularly knowledgeable in the "physical plant" and equipment operations of a restaurant--spearheading efforts to save more than $10,000/month in electrical and gas utility costs. I have also become proficient in social media--and recognize the importance and value that this can have on both neighborhood residents, as well as guests coming in from out-of-town; these are just a few of my accomplishments, more can be found on my attached resume--or, hopefully, we can set up an interview to discuss my qualifications even more in-depth. Should you be looking for a seasoned individual who's passion for the hospitality business is grounded in both formal schooling--with a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management--as well as practical experience with some of the country's most well-known restaurant businesses--I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the benefits of a mutual association. I can be reached at this email address: wwood600@gmail.com, or by mobile phone at 214.316.1025. Kind regards, Wayne Wood
