nonprofit fundraising

I have relocated permanently to Naples and have become familiar with the "culture". I have reviewed my talents, training, and experience and I believe that I can contribute best by becoming involved in serving as a fundraising specialist. My career has been working in service to other as a social worker, and I often became involoved with fundraising for a specific cause which had an impact on me or someone close. An example of this would be "Run Jeff Run" which sponsored a cancer survivor's cross-country run to raise awareness and funding for the Dana Farber Instiute in Boston. There are several other projects I worked with, and when I did so, I felt that I was using my talents to the best possible advantage. I am creative, intelligent, engaging and engageable and my social skills lend themselves to positive interactions in a community such as Collier County. I am at a point in my life where I have the self knowledge/insight, etc. to realize this is the place and time to pursue this passion. I present well visually, personally and professionally and believe that this also helps in this particular arena. My goal is to pursue a career combining all aspects of Elizabeth to contribute to the greater good.
