Personnel Security Professional

. I am an experienced Security Specialist who is currently working at the FBI (Washington, DC. More importantly, I have also created a complete Commendable Security division as a Facility Security officer for a small business until it was not financially conducive for them to retain me. With my background and experience with security as a former OPM credentialed Background Investigator and US Army Adjudicator as well as a Facility Security officer. I have my Bachelors of Arts in English from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC and I m currently enrolled in the Masters Program at the University of Maryland’s University College (UMUC) for Human Resources for a specialty. I am also working on my SPeD Certification for security professionals. At Braxton-Grant Technologies, I developed an extensive security program and at my last Defense Security Services (DSS) Audit, obtained Commendable after a little less than two years on the job. I have also presented from my knowledge and experience to the Industrial Security Awareness Council of Central MD (ISAC) chapter of security professionals on Investigations and Adjudications. This presentation is available on the World Wide Web. I also have experience working with other companies to process their clearance investigations including working with issue related matters. I interacted with security professionals at the NSA and many other Departments of Defense. My responsibilities covered handling all security related matters in processing clearances, doing annual and periodic briefs, as well as processing visitor’s requests and maintaining personnel in JPAS and other related systems. I handled security matters for Blue Coat personnel across the United States. In my current position as Personnel Security Specialist processing Special Agents for the FBI, I am only required to have a TS clearance. However, my TS/SCI is Valid in JPAS until August of 2013 (having just had my periodic re-investigation that closed in August of 2011). I am in the queue for a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph with the FBI. I am currently seeking a position closer to home.
