I've actually had about 30 years experience in the field. Sometimes I've done private pay work in addition to part time with an organization, other times it was groups or with a hospital or organization.

I would like private pay within companies or any or part time in an organization or hospital that likes someone who can do nurses aid work, give some personal counsel, or lead groups. I have experience in teaching developmentally disabled people to write poetry, running an activities program which included crafts, music, exercise, relaxation (visual story telling meditation exercises with progressive body relaxation techniques), and running poetry and prose wring groups, personal concerns groups, and individual issues advice or directing the person to appropriate resources .

I have a wide variety of different people with different disabilities. I am good with dementia or comatose patients or patients with physical limitations. I can do basic care and group activties like talking about the past (when some stay and just observe). I've worked with developmentally disabled people and those with cerebal palsy. I often take a social worker type of position and usually work 1/2 day to keep myself fresh and energetic to dedicate myself to those I serve. I like to work. I'd like to stay in Seattle, but would consider a commute.
