Wayne Garner 9871 Finley Rd. Wooster, Ohio 44691 I am looking to expand my career and technical knowledge in an Information Technologies (IT) department. I feel that my diverse knowledge and hands on experiences in multiple IT departments will be of interest to you and your clients. I have the ability to lead/ Manage a technical department and/or IT project management. Currently, I’ve held a Systems Administrators position at Orrvilon Inc. I completed the Bachelors of Science in Organizational “technical” Supervision from The University of Akron. This degree offers a wide range of career opportunities, centralizing on today’s standards of broadened needs within IT supervision in Management. The (CIS) focuses on local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Computer Information Systems administrator which maintains monitors networked hardware and software. I hold an associate’s degree in Business Management Technology/Data option with Network emphasis and a Network Management Specialist certificate from The University of Akron. I obtained my Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) in 2002. I attended Microsoft 2000/2003 Server classes emphasizing on Active Directory at Wayne College and online courses with computer based training (CBT) in 2003. In 2007 attended the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) 5.4 Implementation and Administration course. I have supervised or led managing projects through the processes of conceptual, implementation to completion. In 2008 I completed the hands-on Certified Microsoft Network Administrator (CMNA) from Tech Pros Group in Irvine, Ca, which heavily leveraged knowledge with VMware, exchange server, and Internet Authentication Server (IAS). Former held positions include the titles of Network Systems Administrator, Global IT Support (GITS) Associate, Network/Desktop Administrator, Helpdesk and Desktop Technician with a promotion to Technical Support Analyst and Computer Technician. Those experiences granted me with ten years of maintaining desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals. Seven years of administrating to Windows server environments in adjacent to two years with Linux server administration, BlackBerry (BES) MDM, Cisco/HP switching and Shoretel VoIP. I also have six years of extensive experience with Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) for data retention concerning backups, restores, and protection for critical data. In change management meetings I provided cross communication with many department supervisors and multiple levels of management to the IT Vice President. Service management oriented. I have the abilities to convert technical objectives into Business objective terms to create value added in IT. How can this benefit our customers, better! I worked two part-time jobs at The University of Akron -Wayne College in the computer services department and in the learning center which I assisted students, faculty, and staff with computer oriented problems. I also had the pleasure of supervising student assistants with permission from my superiors on special projects. I enjoy working in an environment of diversified people that support each other in team goals and objectives with a high level of cross communication.
