I am a Chemical Engineer who has been working in the oil field as an onsite drilling fluid engineer for Halliburton/Baroid. I have, however, wanted to move into a position more akin to my personality. While out in the oil field I ran a multitude of tests on the drilling fluid (both physical and chemical) at least a few times a day and based on those tests made recommendations for how to treat the fluid and get it back into optimal specifications. I also worked/coordinated with a number of various people from third party rig hands, to warehouse/transportation services, to the company men in charge of the rig and of course my own co-workers within Baroid on a daily basis while on-site to do my part in maintaining drilling operations and addressing any issues if they came up. Along with my recommendations I also reconciled sales orders and provided a number of technical reports on a daily, weekly and per well basis. In addition to that experience I also have strong customer service, laboratory testing, team management and team participation experience throughout my background, which you can find an abbreviated version of on my attached resume. I am a highly self-motivated individual who loves to learn as many aspects of my position as possible to gain an overall understanding of how the system works together.
