3097 Church Street New York, NY 10008 Human Resources Manager My name is Mike Holman ( http://mikeholman.com/ and http://mikeholman.info/ ). My career has been within Wall Street and Technology. What's one of many things, "I Love Doing"? I have a passion for Building Online Communities whether via Websites (Internet, IntraNet or Extranet), Blogs or other Social Media Platforms. If there is one major thing (among many) I love doing and can spend hours doing and totally forget about how much time has passed is creating an online presence. I've been fortunate to do this in many of my roles. When the opportunity came to create these types of communities in an Enterprise setting, I jumped at the chance. There was a need for a community to allow the easy exchange of files and updates. The firm was using Lotus Notes. Although not in use, I introduced the use of Lotus Notes' QuickPlace (The Microsoft equivalent being SharePoint which actually succeeded QuickPlace at some firms). I loved creating the QuickPlace Community (including the User Administration (rights, etc.) that allowed Global Collaboration with my colleagues across the Western Hemisphere, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. I even trained my global colleagues during "their business hours" to ensure every concern was addressed. Later, I jumped at the chance to use Microsoft's SharePoint for similar collaboration files, messaging and calendar collaboration with global colleagues again with the opportunity to create these Sites and Sub Sites from scratch along using the appropriate User Administration. Having a foundation in running my own Communities (Bulletin Board Systems, Commercial Online Services from the then CompuServe and Microsoft Network to the now Facebook, Google Blogger, Twitter, Drupal and WordPress), helped me build and contribute to these Communities within the Enterprise. I've done a lot to "Get Business Done" and the Online Community Building has been a great asset that I love doing whether For Profit or Not For Profit firms.
