• Performed Make vs. Buy analysis on the entire bill of materials which resulted in some components being developed, tested and manufactured in-house providing greater manufacturing flexibility. One component resulted in an annual savings of $677,472 at low volume levels; this savings will increase as the volume goes up. • Researched and found a high volume Tier 1 pressure vessel supplier. Negotiated pricing, trained, and guided them to develop a new product and improve on their own quality procedures, which in turn reduced one particular component cost from $1,700 to $278. • Organized supply chain into commodities to help internal buyers realize the value in purchasing larger volumes or similar products from the same supplier to reduce cost. • Mentored two junior program managers to a level where they can now run programs and interact with customers without any supervision. • Trained customer production facility employees on multiple processes which saved the company $58,800 in travel, labor and tooling expenses. • Traveled extensively (up to 178 days in one year) to manage program objectives, visit customers, facilitate customer pilot reviews, direct engineers on system integration, and attend trade shows. • Guided machine design and controls design teams with personnel in multiple U.S. locations, India, Sweden, and Romania.
