Inherited, enhancement and implementation of Douglas County's FEMA and NFIP mandated Flood program. I have reduced county and public risk of loss due to flood and save the the public on average 20% in insurance for homes constructed in primary flood zones. Address FEMA CAV audits. Floodplain Hazard Mitagation. Assure that structures proposed for construction in primary flood zones meet FEMA and Douglas County flood Proofing Requirements. Assure that no new small parcels (less than 19 acres) are created in SFHA. Assist with review of large land divisions in SFHA to ensure Minimal EPA and Protected or Endangered species will not be impacted and natural watersheds and wetlands are preserved. Review and perform internal audits of Elevation Certificates with Construction Plans and in accordance with FEMA CAV audits and State Audit procedures.
