At US Bank as a Corporate Accountant, I was responsible for researching errors, determining the cause - procedural mistake or operator error - and communicating this with the particular payroll representative. The real test came when the Minnesota merger came about and they had to learn a new payroll system. There can be a lot of animosity even when there is a friendly takeover.
While at Grover Corporation as a temp, I set up a simple worksheet for a newly acquired location to do their time entries until their software was updated.
