`To the hiring manager: My name is Dennis Little, and I am currently looking for part time to full time pharmacist position. My experience as a pharmacist spans more than twenty years, and had spanned a number of wide ranging positions including those in nuclear, long term care, and retail pharmacy. I have acted both as a manager as well as an owner of a retail pharmacy. The variety of positions I have filled throughout my career has given me a unique set of skills and an extensive understanding of the industry as a whole that few pharmacists manage to acquire. I believe that my wealth of experience and accumulated knowledge will allow me to add value to your organization. My most recent experience was spending several years in long term care where some of my primary responsibilities were carefully evaluating prescription effects on individual patients, monitoring for overdose conditions, drug interactions, drug and dose accuracy, and proactive protecting against other problems that may arise. I also have experience working with pediatric and elderly dosing. My long term pharmacy experience has given me the skills equal to any clinical pharmacist. Like a trained clinical pharmacist, I am adept at analyzing prescriptions, which reduces the workload for consultant pharmacists and increases accuracy and efficiency of prescription fulfillment. In addition to knowing a great deal about the industry, I am flexible and able to work with many different types of people in a variety of work settings. Over the past twenty years I have worked with many different types of pharmacists, patients, doctors, nurses, and pharmacy employees. This experience has allowed me to develop the interpersonal skills necessary to effectively manage, communicate and work well with others. I am an excellent communicator and I help those around me to clarify and communicate their needs. I have led many teams as the owner and manager of a retail pharmacy for over 12 years. I have a great deal of skill in delegating work tasks to my employees and running a pharmacy in its entirety. At this point in my career I am eager to continue my professional growth with a challenging position in an organization that promotes the well-being of the community.
