Major Responsibilities
Sr. Database Developer/Designer
• Design and develop relational databases to third normal form
• Identify database attributes and relationships
• Use the Data Dictionary to assure consistent naming standards
• Submit requests for creation of new column names
• Submit requests to DBA’s to create and modify tables, views, indices, primary keys, referential integrity
• Validate accuracy, precision, and usability of DBA and DA work via coding and testing
• Design, write, and execute programs to migrate data to relational databases
• Consult on large database and data integration projects
Sr. Systems Analyst / Sr. Application Developer
• Interview customers to garner system requirements
• Create design plans for approval by customers and management
• Manage monthly unit and system testing by customers in preparation for production turnover
• Design, write, and encapsulate business logic into platform-independent modules
• Document modules and enforce naming standards to facilitate code re-use
• Design UI for legacy system conversion to web applications
• Write RDBMS plan and package bind cards
• Secure sensitive financial, personal and proprietary data
• Develop and Implement both system and functional security protocols
• Code web applications using Java, J2EE, MVC, Rapid Application Developer, WebSphere Application Server
• Write and maintain COBOL CICS programs

• Centralize, integrate and combine files and databases
• Automate data sharing and synchronization across systems
• Provide application and database recommendations for large system development and maintenance
• Design, write, and manage integration processes between internal and external systems
• Write training documentation; train the trainers
• Handle technical database and application problems
• Enforce monthly turnover timing and processes
