Experience: During my career I have held financial and management positions for many commercial operations, such as condo and time share associations, hotels, a service corporation, TV production, event implementation, branch management, automobile distributorship and public accounting. For the last 5 1/2 years I was the full charge accountant for a 400 unit up-market condominium association on Siesta Key, Sarasota. The accounting records were on Quickbooks, which was upgraded about 2 years ago. Supplementary records were on Excel spread sheets. In this position, I was responsible for the accounts receivable records, including collection activities in respect of delinquent accounts, all accounts payable transactions, co-ordinating the payroll for 25 employees with an outside payroll processing service, and handling the paperwork for a 401K program, supplemental health and dental programs and related payroll matters I maintained the appropriate General Ledgers and supplementary schedules, and prepared monthly financial statements and related supporting schedules, for the Operating, Reserve and Real Estate accounts for review by an outside independent accounting consultant, the General Manager, and the Treasurer, for subsequent distribution to the owners. I also participated in the preparation of the annual budget, the annual property insurance review, and the annual audit by outside independent auditors. Prior to returning to Florida, I was employed for 5 years by a Maryland Condominium Group, processing transactions, preparing financial statements, budgeting, reserve studies and audit schedules for 6 Associations. Earlier, I was employed for a year as a full charge accountant for a 60 unit interval ownership resort on Lido Key, responsible for all financial records and monthly financial reports to the Directors and Resort Manager I received my Batchelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and was subsequently admitted to the Chartered Accountants Society of South Africa. 10/17/11
