Medical Secretary/Transcriptionist

I am interested in joining a medical practice where my skills and knowledge can be utilized. I enjoy making sure everything is in order. I pay attention to detail. I am extremely reliable, motivated and loyal. My last position lasted 15 years through the final years of Doctor Ian Jackson's retirement. My extensive skills are not limited to just transcription. During the time I was employed at the institute, I helped train fellows and residents with proper form of dictation both in operative report form and office dictation. I scheduled specialized radiology studies, MRI, CT scans, etc including obtaining insurance authorizations. I assisted the billing department with claims, explanation of benefits, account receivables, correspondence and working with third party administrators. I have greeted both patients and physicians, scheduled meetings and helped organized the practice's children's party for 14 years organizing baked good donations and gifts for the children, (most born with birth defects such as cleft lip and palate, lymphovenous malformations, etc).
