Electrical Engineer, Miami

Dear Sir or Madam, Please accept this letter and the accompanying resume as an expression of my interest in a position within the Energy sector of your company. As my resume indicates, in August 2011, I expect to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University. I would then like to begin employment with a company/organization in which I can grow as an engineer, and make a difference within the community I am serving. The experience and knowledge that my education has provided me, has armed me with a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering. I was actively involved in designing and creating a Tesla Bladeless Turbine Generator, and was successful in generating enough power to power up two different loads for the FIU Power Presentations Fall 2010. For my thesis project, I was the team leader and created the mbedGC, a mbed microcontroller shield which allows the user to write and create games in C++, display it to a television set, and attaching a Classic Wii controller to the shield allows the user the ability to play the game. I am currently working for a HVAC company, and although it is not in my field of study, it has helped me in many ways. First, it has given me experience in mechanical systems. Sec ond, the electrical aspect that HVAC systems have, has given me a hands-on experience, such as motors or transformers that these machines may utilize. Third, I have had the opportunity to work in an engineering environment and work as part of a team.
