Hello! My name is David T. James, and I am an Accounting Professional. I have extensive experience with general ledger accounting, which includes the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and journal entries, the preparation of monthly financial statements, and analyzing budget variances in detail and reporting these to management. I have planned and prepared statutory-basis financial statements to electronically file to the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. I have performed cash flow analysis and forecasting on a daily basis, and have reviewed accounts payable vouchers and budget reports to ensure correctness. I have prepared schedules and other supporting documentation for both internal SOX auditors and external auditors. I have also prepared detailed documentation for various accounting processes.
