Field chart Nurse Reviewer-1 year, Nurse Case Manager (Entry level)-2 years, Senior In-Patient Medical Coder (ICD-9 with nowledge of DRG assignment 20 + years

At present I was employed for the past year as a Chart review RN in the field. Due to family crisis stopped working : Husband divorced me after 25 years and the past two months prooved to be too overwhelming. I still need to update my resume with the aforementioned position. Prior to that , my employment included positions as a telephonic Nurse Case Manager and prior to that position I worked as an on-site Nurse Case Manager at an acute care hospital for a managed care organization. My future career plan is to be brought up to the current Medical Coding guidelines that have undergone major changes since I stepped out of that area in 2007. I am presently participating inan online course and once I am finished with the Medical Coding Refresher Course I plan to take the official AHIMA CCS exam which will be a plus in marketing my RN with BSN clinical knowledge, ICD-9 Coding skills and DRG expertise along with my Nurse Case Manager background.
