Biological Technician
I am a young professional currently seeking permanent employment opportunities in the biological research field. I am proficient in following: PCR, RNA extraction, DNA digest, cell/tissue culture, virus culture and isolation, editing/writing research proposals, protocols, and grants, laboratory animal handling and restraint (mice, rats, sheep, dogs), domestic animal handling and restraint (cats, dogs, etc), and genotyping. Additionally, I have experience in communications, including electronic and print media (presentation posters, graphic design, website desing, brochures, magazine editing, etc). Given my biological studies background, I am a proficient science writer and am able to translate complex scientific jargon into information that is easily understood by the every day person. I hope to find a job that builds upon my current knowledge. I feel I can offer a great deal, both as an individual and as a team member.
