Since I was in high school, I have always wanted to get my PhD and teach at a university. However, lately I have not been so sure. While I still want to get my PhD in physics, I do not know if I want to be a professor. Since I have been at college, I have found myself more interested in working in the lab than being in the classroom. I have also seen that very few experimental professors actually do research on a consistent basis after their post-doctoral studies. And seeing this, I am leaning more towards working for a government lab or a private company. Either way, I want to work on something that will help the world.
