¬Most recently, I enrolled in a valuation competition, the ACG cup, as an Investment banker advising a company on a potential sale to a pre-IPO competitor. Through this experience, I worked with my group to evaluate the equity value of client's company and the offered value provided by the potential buyer. Fortunately, our group beat other groups in our class and then represented West Virginia University competes in final round. In final round, our team turned to sell side to buy side. Trying to figure out how and what fund resources we should use when providing an offer to target company. After the competition, I do think this is right industry and job for me.
