In the course of my career as a mechanical engineer, I have gathered nearly five years of professional experience in industries that include manufacturing, oil and gas exploration, construction and public works. During these years I have gained relevant core competencies in maintenance scheduling, product design, equipment troubleshooting, solution development, budgeting and cost control, and supervision. In all of these roles I performed creditably well, my achievements include reducing production downtime by 40% in the first year that saved the company over $300000, developing SOPs for the machine centers, ensuring an accident free shop floor for two years and improving efficiency by adopting OEE’s metrics. This experience has made me better prepared for the opportunities and challenges that lay ahead. At this stage of my evolving career, putting to good use the skills accumulated through academic study and professional practice in mechanical engineering to improve productivity at minimal cost, cut waste wherever it is found and keep the competitive edge of the employer in the market place is my noble goal.
