At this time, my career objective is to seek employment elsewhere. My work environment has been undesirable for quite sometime now. I've remained here for a number of reasons. However, I am now at the breaking point and am fully aware that it is time to move on. I received a call from a director in the regulatory department where I am currently employed. My boss has told me that now is not the time for me to relocate to another department. His selfish reason for informing me of this is because he has recently been promoted. Replacing me would be a tremendous burden on his part, so I am stuck and very unhappy. Due to this, now is the time for me to move out of my pigeon-holed position.
